WooCommerce has announced that its annual conference will be held at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center in Seattle, Washington. The dates are October 19 and 20, 2017. The last two WooConferences were held in San Francisco and Austin with several days for workshops, talks, and excellent conversations between developers, sponsors, and the WooCommerce team.

This year, WooCommerce has decided to tailor its upcoming conference towards developers, from freelancers to agency owners.

The Bell Harbor International Conference Center is a lovely waterfront venue with spacious facilities for mingling with attendees and speakers. The Bell Harbor is within walking distance of Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market, in addition to many hotels to choose from for your stay. For those who cannot attend, the conference will live-stream many talks and make recorded sessions available later.

This year’s lineup includes six keynote speakers and over 30 other speakers and workshops. The keynote speakers are:

  • Rand Fishkin, Wizard of Moz
  • Beka Rice, Product Lead at SkyVerge
  • John Maeda, Global Head of Computational Design and Inclusion for Automattic
  • Zach Stepek, Founder of Mindsize
  • Kandace Brigleb, Partner at Needmore Designs
  • Todd Wilkens, Head of WooCommerce

Who Uses WooCommerce?

WooCommerce powers over 28% of the world’s online stores. It has been proven repeatedly to scale easily to enterprise level, and other ecommerce options cannot even touch WooCommerce statistics. Customers who use WooCommerce include:

  • Ripley’s Believe It or Not
  • Gabriel Iglesias
  • Airstream
  • Duracell
  • City Sightseeing Dubai
  • MIT Technology Review Japan
  • Magna Tiles
  • Zula Juice

By market share, WooCommerce is leading over all other eCommerce options in the top 100K sites, the top 1M websites, and across the entire Web. Currently, WooCommerce is used in over 830,000 websites, and it remains completely free. In fact, WooCommerce has better depth of coverage in nearly every category of websites including Business & Industry, Arts & Entertainment, Shopping, Internet, Telecom, and 240 other categories.

WooCommerce Supports All Types of Business

When you survey the types of business that WooCommerce supports, you will find it goes far beyond the basic online t-shirt store. It supports subscription services, selling physical merchandise, digital media or downloads, membership sites, or even run online courses. Many of the older platforms were created to sell variations of physical products, such as t-shirt sizes and colors. WooCommerce blows them away.

How WooCommerce Helps You Build Your Business

WordPress is open source software, and it is renowned for the extensions and plugins created by various third-party developers around the world. WooCommerce takes that even further by offering many highly functional additions. You can easily ramp up marketing methods, edit aesthetics, sell on Facebook, analyze user behavior, and much more. With WooCommerce, you can:

  • Sell physical products, software, apps, other digital products
  • Accept payments via Stripe and PayPal, or other gateways for extra fees
  • Offer unlimited products and categories
  • Control stock levels
  • Have a mobile friendly framework
  • Adjust taxes and shipping rates
  • Have complete control over data
  • Have access to hundreds of plugins
